The “Manka Kura” or Dialogue between Children and Newly Elected Representatives was organized by Nagar Bal Sanjal ITAHARI, Sunsari, in collaboration with Youth Development Center ITAHARI (Smart Chhori Campaign). The event took place with the participation of representatives from Itahari Wards No. 7, 8, 10, and 14, along with child representatives and Smart Chhori representatives.
The program aimed to facilitate a meaningful discussion between children and the recently elected representatives. It provided a platform for the young voices to express their concerns, expectations, and aspirations, ensuring that they are heard and considered in decision-making processes. The presence of Deputy Mayor Sangeeta Chaudhary from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan Office as the Chief Guest added significance to the event.
During the dialogue, various topics related to child welfare, social development, and youth empowerment were addressed, with insights shared by distinguished guests, including Bhoj Kumari Dawadi (Child Welfare Officer), Sushila Karki (Social Development Section Officer), and Sanjay Chaudhary (President, Youth Development Center ITAHARI).
Overall, the Dialogue between Children and Newly Elected Representatives proved to be a fruitful initiative, fostering better understanding and communication between young citizens and the representatives who hold the responsibility of shaping their communities’ future.
