From 23rd Jestha 2080 to 25th Jestha 2080, the Youth Development Center Itahari, in collaboration with the Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City Office and Ward No. 8, conducted a comprehensive Disaster Risk Reduction and Preparedness Training.
The training program aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to effectively handle potential disasters and minimize risks in the community. The active involvement of the Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City’s Ward Disaster Management Committee and Youth Engagement showcased the collective commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the residents in the area.
The program also had the valuable presence of Ward members/municipal council members Dipa Rai and Ward members Ranjana Sardar, who actively engaged in the training sessions, emphasizing the importance of community-led disaster management.
The training was facilitated by dedicated experts, including Nirjan Khadka from the Youth Development Center, Yugdeep Luikham from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, and Sonu Jayanti, the President of Kalalaya.
The training coordinator, Sandip Sah, ensured the smooth execution of the program, allowing participants to gain practical insights and knowledge on disaster preparedness and risk reduction.
