Concept
Fifth Nepal-Bangladesh Youth Conclave is a collaborative initiative of prominent personalities and institutions from Nepal and Bangladesh that aims to link the young leaders of two countries. The initiation will create a common forum to foster the regional cooperation for collaborative approaches to contemporary issues in the region.
This conclave will craft foundations to promote Nepal-Bangladesh bilateral connectivity and strengthen ties among the citizens of both the countries. The conclave will also provide connecting platform for youth leaders from diverse fields. The call for such conclave is felt more in the present days than any other time, not just between Nepal and Bangladesh but also among the other countries in South Asian region. The countries lying region is characterized by similar nature of problems. Such forums generate an opportunity to share their problems and work together to explore common solutions for them.
In this context, the conclave aspires to explore more avenues for or people from these two countries and connect with each other by bringing together leaders representing the assorted sectors who will work to promote the bilateral relationship when they join their workplace subsequent to their partaking in this forum.
The forum will also have delegates from ,India,Bhutan,Belgium and Vietnam.We already had our First Nepal Bangladesh Youth Conclave in 2017 which gathered around 60 youth from Bangladesh ,60 Youth from Nepal and from India.The second Nepal Bangladesh youth conclave held in Itahari which is in center of Province no 1.which gathered around 90 youth from Bangladesh ,90 Youth from Nepal and from 3 from India.2 from Srilanka and 2 from Afghanistan.
Third Nepal Bangladesh Youth Conclave was held in 2020 February which gathered around 30 delegates from Bangladesh,80 From Nepal,5 from India and 1 from Afghanistan and 3 from Netherlamd.
Objectives:
The overall objective of the Fifth Nepal Bangladesh Youth Conclave is to gather young leaders, innovators, peacemakers, youth activists and civil society pioneers from around the region in a single forum to share their experiences and knowledge on pertinent global issues. However, the specific objectives of the conference are as follows:
- To share the best practices through mutual learning on ideas and initiatives of advocacy tools to achieve sustainable development goals from the youth perspective and encourage youth to lobby them in their own respective governments
- To share and explore the different ideas of inclusive policy-making, good governance, entrepreneurship development and SDGs among each other
- To promote the idea of cultural diplomacy through inter-cultural dialogue, cultural exchanges and sharing of experiences to achieve peaceful solutions to conflict
- To enhance and promote the principle of joint advocacy and action to achieve global peace through shared responsibility
Participants and Resource Persons:
“Fifth Nepal Bangladesh Youth Conclave” will host approximately 150 national and international national delegates aged 16-40 from across the globe. The attendees will be from diverse background and nationalities and will be balanced in terms of gender. In addition there will be around 50 volunteers and speaker national delegates and observers participating in the conference. Thematic experts and both national and international academicians will facilitate thematic sessions. Thematic sessions will be moderated by professionals representing different organizations.
“Fifth Nepal Bangladesh Youth Conclave” will be inaugurated by Vice president of Nepal as chief guest and Honorable Tourism Minister of Federal Government and Ambassador of people Republic of Bangladesh In Nepal as special guest. The official inauguration of the event will be graced by Member of Parliament, Member of local assembly, senior bureaucrat and diplomats.
Conference Program:
The will last two days and will have a grand opening and closing sessions and in between five intimate discussion and mutual sharing sessions. Day I will begin with a grand opening session followed by the opening plenary Tourism Minister of Federal Government of Nepal will officially inaugurate the conference in the role of Chief Guest; other notable guests of the inauguration session. Resident Ambassadors, Senior Diplomats and UN officials will be invited as the special guests in the opening session. On the opening day two thematic sessions will followed after the official inauguration on the theme of :
- Youth for Climate Change
- Youth Involvement for Equitable Development to Achieve SDGs
- Nepal- Bangladesh Trade Opportunities
- Youth Policies & Meaningful Participation

The inauguration of the “Fifth Nepal Bangladesh Youth Conclave” will be organized at Main Hall of “Nepal Tourism Board Bhrikutimandap”, or the that is ideally located in center of Kathmandu where as the thematic seminars will be held in a close at conference hall of Nepal Tourism Board .
The organizer of “Fifth Nepal Bangladesh Youth Conclave” is Sanitation, Environment and Energy Nepal and Youth Development Center (YDC) Itahari in collaboration with Embassy of Bangladesh In Nepal.
